Nicole Arthur wrote the record books at the World Under 21 World Water Ski Championships in Santiago, Chile. Already a two time World Junior Slalom Champion and having won the Womens World Open Slalom Championship in September Nicole added the Under 21 title to become the first skier to have won all the age category and open titles at the World level. The penultimate skier on to the water in the finals Nicole knew she had to beat Witney McClintocks(CAN) 3 buoys on the 11.25 metre rope length. Nicole fought round buoy 4 to set the mark for the last skier off the dock Karina Nowlan (AUS). The young Australian could not round buoy 3 scoring 2.5 buoys for the bronze medal. This Scottish skier's (Slammanan WSC) latest title also meant that the sportscotland lottery funded and Scottish Institute for Sports supported athlete has truly made history.

This impressive achievement does all the more to underpin Nicole's recent recognition as the Times Sports Women of the Year Award winner.
