The courses we offer at
waterskiscotland are designed to meet the needs of everyone. From first time
skiers, to those looking to develop their skills and/or gain qualifications.
The first time skiing experience is especially important. Our fully qualified
and experienced instructors are trained to provide a safe nurturing environment
for anyone experiencing the activity. They understand that extra guidance,
confidence, emotional security and encouragement is needed especially for
children.
First we begin on dry land, teaching the fundamentals of safety, body position
and technique. Once the instructor and student are confident and understand the
basics on land, we move on to the water.
We use a static boom positioned on the side of the boat to offer stability for
the first time skier. This allows the instructor to watch the student closely
and give continuous instruction.
Once the instructor is confident that the student has mastered the skiing
position and technique the next progression is on to the ski rope behind the
boat.
